Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy can be a positive benefit in helping with any of the following, Management of anxiety and stress, Psycological and emotional well being, stopping habits and personal development.

Hypnosis is generally accepted as a term to describe a totally natural state of mind that is inherent in us all.

The hypnotic state of mind allows us to focus inwards in more depth on current issues and amplify our feelings when used a therapeutic situation.

To give a common everyday example it has similarities to how we daydream. Maybe when you read a book or watch a film you will notice that your focus of attention may shift. If the film or book is interesting you will find that you can become engrossed in the scenes playing out before you.

In essence hypnosis is a deep state of mind relaxation during which your mind becomes more acutely focused. Basically hypnotic trance is an altered state of awareness that can be used with appropriate positive suggestions, to create beneficial changes in behaviour and relief from symptoms.

Hypnotherapy is the application of hypnosis as a tool to help the client achieve this perfectly relaxed state of mind. This allows the client to more readily access their subconscious and amplify their current or past issues to bring about a greater understanding and conscious awareness of the root cause of the problem.
